Welcome to the official website of flutist Jessica Jiang.

1st prize winner of the International Flute Competition "Leonardo de Lorenzo" in 2011, and the Audience Prize winner of the International Flute Competition of Budapest in 2013, Chinese-Australian flutist Jessica Jiang currently holds the position of Solo Piccolo & 2nd Flute with the Regional Orchestra of Cannes (Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur), as well as Principal Flute with the Conservatoire Graduates' Orchestra (OLC) in Paris. Jessica has also played with the National Orchestra of France (ONF), Nancy Symphony Orchestra and Tours Symphony Orchestra.

Jessica studied with Margaret Crawford at the University of Melbourne - Faculty of VCA, and then with Pierre-Yves Artaud at the prestigious Paris National Superior Conservatory of Music & Dance (CNSMDP). In 2014, she graduated from the Paris Conservatory with a Masters of Music in Flute Performance, obtaining the highest marks.  


Jessica will be in Melbourne, Australia from 11 to 26 August 2014. Here is a preview of her events : 

  • Jessica's final Master's recital is Wednesday 28 May @ 16h, in Salle d'Orgue at the Conservatoire of Paris (CNSMDP) - Metro line 5: Porte de Pantin. Free entry. Programme is the same as the concert on Monday 26 May, which is listed below.  

  • 15/01/2013 Jessica has won the post of 2nd flute/piccolo interim player with the Regional Orchestra of Cannes P.A.C.A.

  • Jessica has a solo flute concert at Cinema Balzac (1 rue Balzac, 75008 Paris, Metro Ch Gaulle Etoile/George V) this Saturday 11 Jan @ 20h. Programme: Dohnanyi, Piazzolla and Jolivet. Duration 20min. The film  "Philomena" will be shown afterwards for those who wish to stay. Entry free. 

  • Jessica is performing Luciano Berio's 'Sequenza' for solo flute on Sunday 8 December, in the production "Intégrale des Sequenze de Luciano Berio", held at the Cité de la Musique. She will perform in the "Rue Musicale', which is near the entrance, around 18h45 (the show begins at 18h). Entrance is free for the Rue Musicale. 

  • Performing two pieces on ABC Classic FM 105.9, Thursday 1st August @ 8.30am, on the Breakfast Jam program "Young Australians in Paris" with presenter Emma Ayres.  
  • 'Twilight Recital - Flute & Guitar' with guitarist Daniel Nistico, Sunday 21st July 2013, @ 16h15. St Stephen's Church, Richmond VIC 3121, Australia. Gold coin donation entry. Click here for more info. 

  • Performing solo at Cinema Balzac ( 1 rue Balzac - 75008 Paris, RER Charles de Gaulle/George V) on Saturday 4 May @ 20h10. Entry free. A film is shown afterwards. 

  • Won 1st prize (unanimous decision and felicitations of the jury) of Concours National Prodige Art - Niveau Supérieur. Held at CRR de Paris, 14 April 2013.

  • Masters 1st year recital at Conservatoire de Paris (CNSMDP), Salon Vinteuil, 21 May 2013 @ TBA. Piano: Fuminori Tanada. Free entrance.

  • Performing Poulenc Sonata with pianist Marie-Clothilde at 'Les Salons du Lundi', Conservatoire de Paris, Salon Vinteuil, Monday 15 April @ 19h. Free entrance 

  • Performed Poulenc Sonata with pianist Misaki Baba at Salle Cortot (ENMP), 29 March 20h30, in the Annuel Concert of Professors of ENMP, replacing my professor P-Y Artaud.

  • Jessica won shared 2nd prize at the National Flute Competition of Golbey, France, 14-16 February 2013. No 1st prize was awarded. 

  • "Les Concerts de Midi & Demi", performing a solo concert Wednesday 30 January @ 13h-13h30 Ecole Normale de Musique, Salle Cortot. Entry free. I perform in the 2nd half of the concert, the 1st half is a piano recital 12h30-13h.

  • "Flute & Oboe Recital" a concert with oboist Sebastien Robinson, Sunday 10 February @ 17h, Cite Universitaire, College Franco-Britannique (9B boulevard Jourdan 75014), Auditorium. Entry free. Refreshments served.

  • Admitted to compete at the 2012 Fifth Beijing International Music Competition - Flute, 11-23 October. One of 59 contestants chosen from 227 applicants.      http:/
